Dakshinachitra
An awesome heritage center you can visit Dakshinachitra while you are
coming down Chennai to Mahabalipuram. The atmosphere and the milieu will
transport you to the era of 19th century with traditional craftspersons

Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Arjuna's Penance
With this piece, Mamallapuram boasts of having the ancient connections.
The Arjuna's Penance has world's largest bas-relief measuring 27m x 9m,
is the pride of Mahabalipuram. Look minutely and you will find the
pictures of Gods, Demigods, men, beasts, birds and representing the
entire creation.
Five Rathas
Five temples in a row in five different styles. They are also known as
the "Pancha Pandava Rathas". Out of these five, four of the
Rathas are supposed to have carved out of a single rock formation.
Tiger's Cave
The Tiger Cave is situated at 4-km north of the main monument complex.

The Shore Temple is a 8th century temple made in Dravidian style. These
