About Majorda Beach
Majorda beach is a very serene and lonely beach and a person not
wanting to get disturbed by other crowded beaches, it can very well
prove to be an escape destination. It is indeed one of the most
beautiful and fascinating beaches of Goa.
Attractions in and around Majorda Beach
Mae De Church
Founded in 1588, Majorda Mae De Deus Church that was reconstructed in
April 1783 with a big statue of Joaquim Fernandes, who won a gold medal
at Republic Day.
Utorda Beach
This is the beach immediately to the north of Majorda and is the
northernmost beach on the Salcete coast. To get here, continue straight
up the road from Majorda towards Velsao. Utorda is just few kms away.
Betalbatim Beach
Further South from Majorda, Betalbatim also borders Colva . The village
was converted to Christianity in the 16th century. It's most famous
resident is India's cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who has a holiday house
here.

The
