The Sal River forms the beautiful Mobor Peninsula as it cuts a board swathe when it nears the Arabian Sea. Till 1980s, this was just a barren stretch of sand with one village, a few fisherman's hut and long stretches of sand used for drying fish..... until the Leela Hotel and other five star hotels moved in and colonized the entire unfold. Today Mobor has a series of Luxury resorts on both sea side and riverside. But there are few places as picturesque as the month of Sal River, where the Mobor sandbank ends and the beautiful Betul hillock rises on the opposite bank . Make it a point to go there along the beach either by walking or walking on the sunset point. Goa rides her charm high on Mobor Beach , a very popular sight among the tourists. Water sports in Cavelossim-Mobor is conducted from behind Betty Palace. These include variety of full day tours on the Sal River and out of the sea. Goa coastal water sports offers jet ski and speedboat rides, including water skiing, windsurfing, banana and bump rides and parasailing during the season, from pontoon behind Betty's palace.

Biking
Biking is really a great means to barge-in for great fun along the sand . Hiring a bicycle and riding along the firm sand near the water's edge can be a great fun. It can also be the fastest way to travel on the sand.
