This majestic journey will take visitors through some of the most stunning places of Karnataka and Goa. The 7 nights and 8 days journey will cover many historical heritage sites, wild life areas and golden beaches. Golden Chariot starts its journey from Bangalore on every Monday. The design and construction of train has been inspired from Mysore and Hoysala architecture. So, luxury is fully complimented by architectural brilliance.
Facilities on Board
Each chambers where guest will retreat have many timeless tales to tell. Design and intricate carvings on the ceiling, wall and furniture see lot of influence from Mysore and Hoysala architecture. There are all together 19 coaches in the Golden Chariot and each of them have been named after various dynasties which ruled Karnataka like Kadamba, Hoysala, Rastrakota, Ganga, Chalukya etc. Royal looking bed on the board is reminiscent of the luxury , the Maharajas of Mysore enjoyed. There are 26 twin beds, 17 double bed cabins and 1 cabin for the physically challenged people.
Every cabin has Wi-Fi connection, LCD television with 6 satellite channels and DVD facility. Also there is wardrobe,writing desk, attached bathroom with best of luxurious amenities and accessories. Madira lounge bar whose interiors have been modeled after Mysore Palace is best place to relax and be in your own world. Relaxing in the elegant seat and watching performance from local artisans, the guests can have fantastic moments in the bar. Two restaurants Ruchi and Nala, serve different types of veg and non-veg delicious food. It has four and two seater dining cabins with adequate sofas and chairs.
There is a conference coach which can seat up to thirty people. It is well equipped with high speed Internet facilities and 42 inch LCD television. It is very good place for business delegates to have business meetings. There is also a special gym coach which has ayurveda centre, spa and gym facilities. To get rejuvenated there are two massage rooms and one special ayurveda massage centre for those who prefer traditional form.

Itinerary
| Day 1: Bangalore 12.00 pm : Guests will check-in at Leela Palace hotel. This will be followed by lunch either at Jamawar or Citrus. 03.00 pm: Leave for sightseeing around Bangalore city. Places to be visited include Tipu Sultan's palace, Bull temple and Lal Bagh. 08.00 pm: Guests will be given traditional welcome on arrival at Yeshwantpur railway station and will be escorted to their respective cabins. Dinner will be served on the board. 09.00 pm: Train leave for Mysore 11.30 pm: Arrival at Mysore Day 2: Mysore/ Kabini/ Bandipur 10.00 am: Leave for Kabini/ Bandipur after having breakfast. 01.00 pm: Arrival at Jungle Lodge and then have lunch. Post Lunch: Jungle and boat safari. In the evening there will be wildlife film show. Guests will served dinner at Jungle Lodge and will stay overnight. Day 3: Mysore 08.30 am: Breakfast and leave for Mysore. 11.30 am: Back to Golden Chariot. 01.00 pm: Lunch served on board. 03.00 pm: Depart train for sightseeing around Mysore city. Mysore Palace and Srirangapatnam to be covered. Srirangapatnam is the place where warrior king Tipu Sultan once ruled. 07.00 pm: Reach majestic Brindavan Garden for cultural show which will be followed by dinner at the famous KRS Hotel. 10.00 pm: Back to the train. Day 4: Hassan/ Shravanabelagola/ Belur/Halebid 06.00 am: Depart Mysore for Hassan. 08.15 am: Arrival at Hassan. 09.00 am:Leave train for sightseeing to Shravanabelagola. This place is famous for Jain pilgrimage and houses towering 58 ft statue of lord Gomateswara, which is Asia's largest monolithic statue. 01.00 pm: Lunch on board. 03.00 pm: Depart train for sightseeing to Belur and Halebid. These two town are well known for various majestic temples. Chennakesava and Hoysaleswara temple are the star attraction of these two towns. 07.15 pm: Back to Golden Chariot. 07.45 pm: Leave for Hospet. Dinner to be served on board train. Day
5: Hospet/Hampi 06.00 am:Arrival at Hospet. 08.30 am: After the breakfast leave for sightseeing to Hampi. This town is one of the most frequented tourist spot of India and has been classified as world heritage site. Places to be check out are Virupaksha temple, Queen's Bath, Elephants stables and local craft bazaars. 01.00 pm: Back to the train for lunch. 03.00 pm: Again leave for sightseeing .Tourist spots to be covered are Royal enclosure, Hazara Rama temple and Illuminated Vittala Temple. 08.00 pm: Back to the train. Dinner to be served on board Golden Chariot. Day 6: Badami 05.00 am: Leave Hospet and starts onward journey to Badami. 08.30 am: Arrival at Badami. 09.00 am: After breakfast leave for sightseeing. Badami and Pattadakal, the two world heritage sites will be visited. 01.30 pm: Return to the train for lunch. 02.00 pm: Journey towards Goa. Enjoy the facilities on board Golden Chariot. Dinner to be served on board. Train reach Goa post midnight. Day 7: Goa 08.00 to 9.30 am: Breakfast to be served on board. 10.00 am :Leave train for sightseeing. 11.00 am: Tour various churches of old Goa. 12.15 am: Visit old Portuguese houses. Go for shopping in various state run emporiums to check out local Goan stuffs. 02.00 pm: Visit Sahakari spice plantation and take a tour of spice farm. 03.00 pm: Depart to Utorda beach. 04.30 pm: Reach Utorda beach to view the sunset. 07.15 pm: Back to the Golden Chariot. Dinner to be served on board. 09.00 pm: Leave for Bangalore. Day 8: Bangalore 08.00 to 09.30 am: Breakfast to be served on board. 11.00 am: On reaching Yeswantpur railway station, guests are given farewell.
